Alopecia Procedures

Eyebrows Before Eyebrows After

Alopecia Areata is an autoimmune condition that affects the hair, resulting in patchy hair loss on the scalp and/or elsewhere on the body.  This unpredictable disorder affects millions of men, women and children in the United States and in other countries as well.

Although Alopecia is medically spoken of in terms as a medically harmless condition, as a permanent cosmetic technician for clients with Alopecia, I assure you that the physiological repercussions can be very painful, affecting the person’s self confidence and sense of well being.

To better understand this condition and to read about symptoms, treatments, and support groups, you may go to the National Alopecia Areata Foundation’s (NAAF) web site at  I offer this web site as a link to professional, accurate information regarding Alopecia, and not as any endorsement on NAAF’s behalf for permanent cosmetic services.

The purpose of allowing others to view selected, consensual photographs of my clients with Alopecia is to bring public awareness to this condition and to NAAF.  Co-workers, family members, and friends that suffer from Alopecia need the understanding and support of loved ones and associates as well as the general public.  Although it may be quire common to see a male with bald tendencies, our society seems more reluctant to accept the baldness of a woman.

These clients shown before and after their eyebrow procedures agreed placement on my web site was a wonderful media to show others with Alopecia how professionally performed permanent cosmetic procedures can help ease the esthetic challenges that accompany hair loss.

I offer my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to these brave women. Their dignity and perseverance is a lesson for all that are confronted with medical challenges.
